Who are we to believe? I supported continuation because the expertise in this area namely the H.B.Health dept has recommended the product for use. If we do not take notice of the professionalism, then in futural times we may have concerns. I admire the efforts your group is going to, however you need to convince the Health Dept at H.O. level. In turn they advise accordingly.

I was the only Councillor to vote against fluoridation last year. I am still of the same opinion.

As a rural candidate my position is to put nothing in the water supply apart from the stuff that makes it safe to drink.

I
would need to see ALL the info that the council was privy to before I
can make a judgement call. Being a new candidate of course I do not have
this info. While one has to listen to the community voice , that needs
to be balanced with facts. At this stage I don't have them so would have
to say my gut feeling (personal only) is that I would support the
continuation due to our children taking fluoride tablets as children.
Their teeth really benefited from that according to our dentist. I do
understand however that there are arguments in favour of this practice
now being seen not to be so favourable. This sounds like a political
reply, but is the truth as I don't know all the facts.
